Half Term Holidays
I have always found half term a mixture of frustration and fun. They certainly come round far too quickly and are at the same time very welcome, but the impact on the children and parents can vary greatly. A parent with a young baby will probably find the clubs attended; such as baby signing, toddler gyms, and music lessons don't run as they are often run by parents with school age children. So what do you do? I found half term very frustrating when James and Charlotte were babies as it completely threw out my routine and I found everywhere was busy with older children and therefore, for me, not a pleasant experience. Then, as a parent with school age children you have to consider child care options, and spaces are limited in half terms. The weather may have an impact on what you can do, especially February and October and where do you go? There are clubs and activities set up for half term, but they may be over subscribed and in fact you actually quite look forward to just chilling out at home! but the children NEED to be entertained..... So here are some tips to do with your children
