Labouring in a birthing pool is proven to speed up labour and result in lower rates of intervention such as episiotomy, forceps, ventouse and C-section, The hospital unit bathtub is better than nothing but it does not allow the buoyancy and freedom of movement that are the drivers of the benefits of using water.

Often the unit does have a birthing pool but it isn’t available.   Only individuals who are registered or register with the site before 31st May 2006 will be eligible to enter the prize draw.

  Only persons over the age of 18 years old are eligible to enter this competition. Only one entry per person is permitted.

  There is no cash alternative.

  The judge's decision is final.

  We reserve the right to display the names of prize winners on the site. No other personal identifiers will be used. Anyone who does not want their name to be displayed should email the site once they have registered or submitted an entry request.

  Prizes will be held for 2 weeks from the notification date above. If a prize is not claimed within this time it will be forfeit and a draw will be made to select a winner.
