Trimester 1

First Trimester: April 13th - July 6th

Found out I was pregnant after being in much denial, as not too sure how we initially feel. This will be our 9th pregnancy including the one in which we have got our lovely 3 year old Jack from too. As soon as I know for definite I ring my consultant who has left me a number to contact him at the hospital for an early scan.

I go for a scan at 6 weeks the heart is still beating and everything so far looks okay. I am relieved but still nervous as I have been here far too many times before! The sickness which is what made me wonder to start with is starting to get worse, hopefully it won't be as bad as it was when I was carrying Jack as I had severe sickness then and couldn't keep even water down.

Week 10: My husband came up with a crazy idea to decorate the lounge, so I have been stripping wallpaper with Jack who has had great fun! Big brother is on, but I can't manage to stay up any later than 9pm at the latest so I am not really getting into it this year, I am just too tired and sick. My weight is dropping already as I am hardly eating. I am trying to eat something everyday as I know lack of food makes it worse and luckily I am not actually being sick until around 4ish onwards, so at least I keep it down for most of the day.

Week 12: I managed to go to a friend's baby's Christening even though I wasn't sure I would make it. I've now lost over a stone but already have had to buy some maternity trousers as I can't bare anything round my waist that is tight! Even managed to eat a few nibbles at the party afterwards although we didn't stop long. I think that the worst of the sickness is finally over. Had my 12-week scan, which was lovely, really clear too got a nice picture that Jack keeps looking at constantly.
