Help with childcare costs
From April 2003 the Government introduced the Working Tax Credit that includes an element to help with the cost of childcare. You can read the Government fact sheet about this at www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/pdfs/wtc_5.htm#b.
You can get up to £135 a week to pay for childcare costs but as it's part of the Working Tax Credit you have to qualify for this in order to claim the childcare bit. Definately worth finding out about if you're currently paying childcare costs. You can check your eligility online at www.taxcredits.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/
