Old Fashioned Chocolate and Raisin Krispies

Below is a fabulous recipe to make for Halloween

Ingredients (Makes 12)

50g butter
100g Cornflakes (or rice krispies)
150g organic milk chocolate, such as Green and Black's
25g Raisins (optional)
1 tablespoon honey

Try to use organic ingrediants wherever possible - we believe they are safer, purer, tastier and more nutritious

Happy Halloween

Organic Method

  • Line a muffin tray with 12 paper bun cases.
  • Place a mixing bowl over a pan of gently simmering water.
  • Break up the chocolate and melt it with butter and honey in the bowl.
  • Remove the bowl from the heat, add the raisins and cornflakes and stir well to coat the cornflakes.
  • Use a desert spoon to divide the mixture between the bun cses. Put them into the fridge to set. (30 minutes)
Happy Halloween

Mini Cook's Notes

A grown-up must assist with stage the hot water and melting the chocolate, butter and honey

Cook's Notes

The chocolate, butter and honey can be melted in the microwave on DEFROST for 2-3 minutes (depending on the microwave voltage). The muffin tray is lined with "bun" not muffin cases. The higher sides of the tray help to give a "deeper" krispie cake.

Happy Halloween

Always have a grown-up in the kitchen when you cook
