'SUPERSTAR' JAMELIA IS THE NEW FACE OF BABY CHARITY'S CAMPAIGN

R&B star Jamelia is lending her support to Tommy's, the baby charity, as the new celebrity ambassador for their charity T-shirt fundraising campaign.

Eight months pregnant, Jamelia models the Tommy's T-shirt, designed by maternity label Séraphine. The funky T-shirt features a baby scan print over the 'bump' and now features long sleeves for winter. All profits from sales go to support Tommy's research to make pregnancy safer and healthier for both mother and baby. The campaign aims to raise at least £50,000 for the charity.

Jamelia says, "I am so proud to be supporting Tommy's on this project. When they approached me to be the new face of the campaign, I just couldn't say no - the research the charity does into preventing premature births, stillbirths and miscarriage, is invaluable. Luckily for me I haven't had problems through either of my pregnancies and I am fortunate enough to have a healthy little girl already who I love to bits. I can't imagine what it must be like to face heartbreaking difficulties through pregnancy which can result in losing your baby. That's why I think Tommy's research is so important - they're working towards helping every single woman to have the chance of a healthy pregnancy and in turn, are helping to save so many babies' lives by doing so".
