December
Hi everyone, I have really enjoyed November, and I am looking forward to Christmas, and it is only a few weeks to go. The children, Graham and I have been busy enjoying the sites of London. We had a super day out at the Peacock Theatre to watch MOMIX. They are an American group of dancers who create illusions using light and movement. It is spectactular to watch and words are not easy to use in explaining the show. Charlotte was mesmerised by the performance, I cannot believe how still she sat.
After the theatre, we got the tube to Regent's Street, to look at the lights. They theme that was featured is the new film "Flushed Away", and James seemed to know who all of them were! What we did not tell the children was our destination, which was of course, Hamley's. It was so busy, but once we got through the entrance it was not too bad. The place was just filled with wonderful toys, and I was so excited! Oh yes, the children were too! Charlotte and I went to the girls floor, which is where I wished I was rich! The dresses were spectacular, but very costly. I think my little girl was in heaven for a couple of hours. We finally decided on a toy, it took a lot of visiting and re-visiting, but finally Barbie won the day! James was a little disappointed as Warhammer was not in the store, but we ended back at the LEGO, one of his favourites. He chose a Star Wars fighter and would have built it on the train if we let him.
I ended up with the Hamley's Bear, which is lovely. Charlotte loved him too and on the journey home with had hot chocolate, and a snuggle with the bear. It has really helped me get into the mood for Christmas and the tree will be going up this weekend. Until next month, happy christmas planning and Very best wishes,
