January
Welcome to the New Year. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year celebrations. I am sure like me your break went very quickly. Did you survive? I think I did, I ate a little more than I wanted to and probably consumed more wine than normal, but hey it is only once a year! We had snow! Not a lot, but enough that we managed to get the sledge out with the children and visited the local Chiltern Hills. The children loved it, James went a bit out of control and hit a bush, but Daddy’s ankle stopped a major injury, although his ankle is a little sore. We had a snowball fight and had a really lovely family time. I came back to work with great enthusiasm, ready to get back into the swing of getting the site up to date. Two days into work, my children decided without warning to be sick, in their beds. James was first, and then half an hour later Charlotte was ill. They are so vulnerable when they are half asleep and really don’t know what is happening. James didn’t even remember it! It's the one thing I find frustrating at this time of year all the bugs that go around. New Year, new diet!!! Yes, like most people I am looking at the exercise I do and what I am eating. I already feel better just for cutting back on the Christmas pudding and Christmas cake. (my weakness!). As I was lucky enough to get control of the television the other night, as my husband was out! I watched the new Inside and Out Diet programme on Channel 5. It was most enlightening and very graphic in stages. However, the desired effect is that it will help my willpower to continue. The biggest thing for me was that the lady featured only had to walk 10,000 steps a day to maintain a healthy level of exercise. No more gym, embarrassing exercise classes or dealing with the local swimming aqua class for me! Good luck with the diet, detoxing and walking and I look forward to speaking to you next month.
