Child Database

Baby Database

Plans are being made for a national child database, but will this remove the right of parents to look after their own families? Civil liberties groups have complained, and don't want this to interfere with family life.

The Government have proposed this system to identify children and contain parent contact details.

This has come about from the death of Victoria Climbie and the lack of observations from the professionals that failed to spot the abuse. However, do we really need another database tracking us all?
