June has arrived, where is our summer!!

I am so regretting putting away my warm clothes. When the sun does pop out from behind the clouds my spirits lift for about 2 seconds, then it goes again. I just hope that the weather improves soon.

I have had a busy month, I visited Legoland Windsor with my parents and children and we had a lovely time. Have a read about how we got on. Legoland visit

Another special treat in May was visiting Fortnum and Mason's for tea for my Mum's birthday. We had a fabulous day out. I have two sisters and we took my mum up to London on the train, she did not know where she was going, we just told her bits on the way. My older sister, Caroline, suggested getting the No 13 bus, I was very surprised she knew which number, let alone suggesting we get a BUS! I can't remember the last time I did that. However, it was pouring with rain, none of us had coats, sensible girls that we are. So we got a taxi, which was brilliant because Mum could not see where she was going. The doorman opened the taxi door and out we got. Tea was lovely, I curled my little finger and tried to remember that we needed to use the tea-strainer. Elaine, my twin sister was the only one who did not get tea leaves in her cup!!! - she has been before. We also had champagne and I would recommend it for a very special treat.

Afterwards we wandered over to Covent Garden and had a lovely time looking around the market stalls, finishing with a bottle of wine watching the entertainment in the square.

The other special day was our visit to Asheridge, to see the bluebells. They were particularly beautiful this year. We often visit, have a wander and then visit the ice cream man. I love that bit!. Charlotte loved running through the bluebells and James found lot's of great big sticks.

In June I am planning to visit Duxford on Father's Day, so I will let you know how I get on.
