Meeting Hi5

I was invited to take my children to meet Hi5 and I thought I would share the experience with you.

Charlotte and James were very excited, we travelled up to London by train. Graham, their Dad met us on route and the children screamed with delight at the sight of him at the station. The journey was busy, but we eventually arrived in plenty of time and on arrival where behind Naomi from Channel five's Milkshake. The children immediately recognised her and she was thrilled to meet them.

Hi5 appeared for photographs and to meet the children. James and Charlotte were photographed with Hi5 but Charlotte decided to become shy. Graham, however, was not shy and loved every minute of meeting them, he is rather fond of Hi5!

Hi-5 LIVE ACTION HEROES TO TAKE BRITAIN BY STORM AGAIN

Hi-5 Live Action Heroes on tour in the UK is a Kids Like Us production presented by ThemeSTAR in association with CTI Productions and five. The tour opens on March 18 at the Lowry, Salford Quays, plays 22 major theatre dates and concludes at the Empire Theatre, Liverpool on May 1.

The show returns to London’s Carling Hammersmith Apollo on Friday, April 7; Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9 for a third consecutive year following its record-breaking box office triumphs there in 2004 and 2005.

During the course of the spring tour, Hi-5 will undertake a series of appearances in Ireland. From March 27 through 31 the show will appear at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin followed by the INEC, Killarney (April 1 and 2).

Hi-5 Live Action Heroes is the ultimate in audience participation. A warm-hearted, happy-go-lucky show that educates through music and movement making it cool to learn as kids sing along, dance and interact with Charli, Nathan, Kathleen, Kellie and Tim - their all-action TV heroes. And not forgetting the incorrigible Chatterbox and trickster Jup Jup. Together they embark on a fabulous fun-packed journey of exploration and adventure through the wonderful world of imagination. The show will also feature many of the songs and stories that have had pre-school children in 83 countries throughout the world glued avidly to their television sets each day and set Hi-5 way ahead of the field.

Each of the Hi-5 Action Heroes has a specific role to play in this revolutionary high-energy show. Charli specializes in fun movement and co-ordinating skills that encourages children to stretch, hop, jump, balance, crawl and twist. Nathan focuses on exploring shapes, colour and patterns. Kathleen is the problem solver who loves numbers, puzzles and mazes. Tim is the music maestro, introducing children to rhythm, melody, songs and rhymes. Kellie explores the world of language and sound. Together our five heroes have taken the world by storm both on television and on tour, becoming firm favourites with kids everywhere. They have achieved wonders in helping children to embrace the art of knowledge and learning.

This will be the third time Hi-5 has toured the UK following its outstanding success in 2004 and 2005. Two years ago, Hi-5 - Alive created new box-office records, playing 108 shows to audiences nearing 200,000. In London alone, it sold 30,000 tickets at the Hammersmith Apollo in just three days. Hi-5 Merchandise sold out completely in two weeks. Earlier this year, Hi-5 Space Magic played 104 shows in 22 cities and reached audiences in excess of 185,000.
