Hello and welcome, to August!.

As August arrives I often remember nearly 8 years ago I when I was sat at home in horrendous heat, with swollen ankles, tummy, hands and in fact all of me swelling and thinking please rain!

How things change, I now am wishing for the rain to disappear, as I am sure many of you are.

I have been watching the news and feel extremely fortunate that I am not in the situation that so many are of being flooded. I cannot imagine how stressful having your home flooded must feel.

I particularly felt for the pregnant lady being rescued through a window into a small fire rescue boat. How frightened she must have been. I remember feeling extremely protective of my "bump" when I was pregnant and having an exceptional situation like that thrust on you must have been terrifying.
