Medela Pump In Style AdvancedThis is a twin electric breast pump and it has been excellent. When you first open it up and look at the instructions, you think how am I supposed to put this together, but its actually very easy to put together. The instructions are very clear and are in a step by step guide. You can use this as a single pump or as a double pump, you can also use this manually or electroncially. Once you have used this as an electric pump, there is no way that you would want to manually pump. The machine comes in a really stylish black rucksack which enables you to take it out with you (this is ideal for working mums or when you are going away for weekends / holidays). All the parts fit nicely into the rucksack. The rucksack itself is excellent, it has pockets for you to use all over. There is a zipped pocket on the side of the rucksack and this opens to reveal a keyring, a small mesh area to place small items in such as mobile phone etc, a pen holder and three small areas where you can hold information such as credit cards, photos. On the other side of the rucksack it has another zipped pocket and a pocket which can expand to hold a bottle. There is also space at the back of the rucksack to hold items too. When you open the top pocket of the rucksack, its got a space for you to put a picture of your child(ren) so you can look at them whilst you are pumping. Inside this area fits your cooling bag and inside the cooling bag is a cooling pack and 4 storage bottles. The battery pack also fits in here and again has its own case and there is a small pocket for you to use as well. The lower part of the rucksack holds the pumping unit and the tubing for the pumps and bottles and also holds the adaptor. The pump can be used via mains or battery so when you are out and about and cant use the mains, its great because you can always use the battery pack so there's just no stopping you. As I said it is very easy to put together and it does have a step by step guide. The pump itself is also excellent, its just as easy to use the two as it is using one. With having twins I found it much easier to use the two because I tried to breastfeed the twins at the same time. I also found it much easier to use the two and pumped off the milk quite easily. I have used a manual pump and a single electric pump in the past, I did find the manual pump very hard work so for me this was definately a fantastic buy. I found the single machines quite noisy, however, this machine didnt seem that noisy and was fairly quiet. I found I used to pump whilst the boys were sleeping and it didn't wake the boys. The pump has a 2 phase expression, when you first use the machine its quite a fast pumping rythym which stimulates the milk flow and after a couple of minutes it slows down which imitates your baby drinking. You can alter the speed at which the pump is pumping, again this is a really clever idea as it can give that extra suction when needed. Although I did feel a little bit like a milking cow, I found the breast pump to be an excellent piece of machinery and I can't promote it enough. Its easy to assemble and disassemble and easy to wash and sterilise. Due to the breast pump being in the rucksack, its easily put away and is very discreet. This is a really neat and stylish piece of equipment, its also very discreet for working mothers who need to express whilst they are at work. With having twins and a daughter (4), I have found breastfeeding very time consuming and not as easy as it was the first time round, and because I wanted to give my children a good start in life, I wanted them to have breast milk regardless. With the help of the Pump In Style Advanced I have been able to do just that and in half the time as well. If you haven't got one of these and you are looking to breastfeed your babies, I would suggest you go out and invest in one, its definately one of the best buys for me and my boys. Thank you Medela for such a fantastic item for breastfeeding mums.
