I have done three positive pregnancy tests and went to the Doctor this morning. Will get the results of urine test on Thursday this week. However today especially have been passing brown blood and I have lower back pain and abdominal cramps. Does this mean I'm miscarrying or is this normal? It is my first pregnancy.

On Dec.5,2005 was my LMP. then Dec. 28th I had bleeding for one day light to heavy bleeding which the internet says is the implation bleeding. In January I was posed to have a period on the 1st or 2nd but it never came then all of sudden I had two days of bleeding the month of Feb the same thing happen March is now here and I haven't had any bleeding up until yesterday the 26th I took a pregnancy test one came back positive and the other two were negative. The bleeding went from being light pink to fresh red bleeding w/o cramps has anyone had any of this I'm 16wks pregnant.

My periods are all ways 28 days long, been ttc for 2 years, went to doctors for blood test and my next period was 2 days late, put it down to stress, but my next period is now 10 days late, I have bled but for only 1 day, could I be pregnant or not, did a hpt when i was 2 days late it was neg, my boobs are all vainy and I have the worst banging head, feel like I dont know whats happening, am I just wanting to be prengnant so much I tricked myself into thinking I am.

I am 2 weks late I've taken 2 tests and both positive, I've had swollen breast, and itching. Yesterday there was brown blood when I wiped. I have rested but feel by stomach has a drawing feeling. I'm 38 and have had 2 children but I am so worried. It seems that the blood is still there when I wipe but its not turned into pink,red blood. I think I'm loosing it. I am going to the doc but I now have doubts of being pregnant at all after reading some of the stories on here.

Hi everyone, I had an early scan on Monday due to having lots of light & dark brown bloody discharge over the last week, mostly everytime i wipe. I had to have an internal scan & found out I was only 5w5d & not 6w4d which went back to 1st day of last period. Anyway saw heartbeat which was such a relief, they couldnt tell me why I was having this discharge so said if it got worse & painful to go back. Im still having it 3 days on so am not totally convinced im in the clear. Good Luck to all of you, hope we all have healthy pregnancies.

I started bleeding at 8 weeks. The doctor did an ultrasound and the baby was fine but there was a "pocket of blood" near the baby. It was a hemorrhage or hematoma he said. He said 9 times out of 10 the baby will just push the blood out as the baby grows. I went back the next week for him to check me and there was no heartbeat. My baby didn't make it. My best advice is if you have any bleeding try to stay off your feet the best you can and pray, pray, pray. Try your best not to stress out about it because that can sometimes make things worse for the baby.

Mine is a irreguler period usually 3 months duration.but this time I had spotting for 4 days.then it stopped,then after 8 days I started bleeding with leg cramps, my breast are also sore during this entire period.but i dont feel any morning sickness or heartburns.does that means that I am pregnant or it is the normal periods. Please suggest me.

Well about 2 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. now all of a sudden I am spotting. I went to the doctors and did a blood test and they said i am still pregnant. they told me I am 3 weeks. well today i went to the bathroom and noticed a small clump in my pad. Did I have a miscarriage?

My daugher went to the obgyn today the did a vaginal utra. sound he saw 3 sacks one he said was at 5 and a half weeks and the others at 2 or 3 weeks he said he saw no fetal pole in the sacs and was going to do another sound next week but said he was 90% sure that he would be doing a dnc the following day. I don't understand she bled for about three hours one day and it stopped has spotted once since then. He did blood work but it hasn't come back yet and did not do it today. Anyone have any feed back please help. She's waited along time for this. Do we get a second opinion?

I am so glad to have found this site. Having bleeding during pregnancy is such a scary thing, and unfortunately all of the books that are published really don't go into all of the different things that can happen when you do bleed. It is so nice to be able to read other people's stories about bleeding and see that you have similar situations to what these people have been through.

I guess I am so worried now becasue of what happened las year. I will call my doctor in the am to let them know, but it ha helped reading others stories.

I was 4 days late and noticed some brown spots on my uncerwear and when I wiped, I tested anyway and it was an immediate positve. Since then I have had light brown blood when I wipe and some light aches and twinges. Was told by my doctor that this was normal and due to implantation, she told me to take time off work and rest. So far no pain or cramps but still brown blood when I wipe. Going for a scan at 6weeks. Try not to worry, miscarrage happen when there is an problem wiht the foetus so its natures way of ending the pregnancy.

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and I am having severe bleeding and cramps like I am having a normal period. Is this normal or am I miscarrying?

Hi ladies well first time on this site, I was due on Saturday but nothing showed up just slight cramping now today is Monday and I've started bleeding but its not heavy its almost pink-red and have not changed my pad since 6:00 am, so I'm worried because I have not tested is this spotting or normal? I've been try to conceive for 1 yr and I was hoping this month I'd have a BFP I'm scared to test but no cramps or whatsoever just lil blood please help me someone I'm so scared I dont know whats happening to me.

I am about 61/2 weeks preg and on Thurs,I had gone to the bathroom and when I wiped I had light pink on the tp. I went to the doctor the next day and saw a heart beat, but when I go to the bathroom I still have some staining on the tp anybody have this.

I was suppose to start my period the 14th of this month, instead I started on the 9th, it was not a regular period, at first it was heavy passing cloths, and then it got light lasting only 3 days,and i usually have a 6-7 day long period. After the 3 days I had some brown spotting in my underwear for a day and that was it. I have been feeling very tired, soreness of my breast,nausea, and fatigue. I have taken 2 pregnancy test and both came out-, I was wondering if I took them too soon, but today when I went to the restroom I had the same brown spottings in my underwear. Could I be pregnant? I already have 5 children, and still have mixed emotions about rather I'm pregnant or not. Could someone help? Or tell me what you think.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and also have had bleeding most of the way through my pregnancy so far. Mostly it has been dark brown spotting, the same I notice as others of you who have written on here have. I have had three early pregnancy scans all of which showed a fine healthy pregnancy. However I requested an internal examination as each time it happenned I was very worried. Turns out I have a cervical erosion (or ectropian) which is causing the bleeding. Although I still worry it helps that I now have a reason for the bleeding.

I am 13 weeks pregnant and started to bleed last night I am not having any pains but I am very worried I have been to see the midwife today all she did was tell me not to worry she did not even listen for a heartbeat or offer me a scan I dont know what to do but I do feel a little bit more reassured after reading this site

I am officially 5 weeks (very early) but have taken 3 preg tests that all came out positive. I have already had symptoms (nausea, very tired by 5 pm, and slight breast tenderness). Yesterday I had what I usually see on day 1 of my period, translucent pink after I pee. Then just now, at 1 am, after going to the bathroom, I saw red and more red. I am scared. This is my second pregnancy. We have a healthy 3 year old. I'm 34. I will call my doc tomorrow AM.

Just wanted to share my experience to perhaps alleviate concerns for some of you. During my first pregnancy I spotted during the eighth and tenth weeks of the pregnancy. It was light, and mostly brown, but I was worried. Everything was fine, though, and I now have a perfectly healthy thriving eighteen month old. I am now pregnant again, at about nine weeks. From four weeks I started spotting, mostly lightly but a few times it was slightly heavier. Then, at six weeks I had heavier bleeding one night (a few teaspoons worth, I would estimate) and then passed a jelly bean size clot and a couple of smaller ones later that night. I thought surely I had had a miscarriage. But an ultrasound found a heartbeat. Three weeks later, I'm still spotting. Most days it's a barely noticable amount of brown discoloration, but a few days it't been slighly heavier and brown. Another recent scan shows there was still heartbeat. I realize I am not "out of the woods" yet. My point: spotting and bleeding is not necessarily a sign that your pregnancy is in peril. Hope this eases someone's mind.

I am about 5 weeks 4 days pregnant and for about the last week and a half I have been spotting some very light brown blood. I had an internal exam done and they said all looks well but the baby's heartbeat wasn't there yet because I am not at six weeks yet. Last night I spotted some red blood, only when I wiped and today it is back to brown again but seems heavier than it used to be. It is only when I wipe but I can't help to think something is wrong. With my first son who is now 5, I had absolutely no spotting at all. I don't deal well with stress and this is driving me crazy. Has anyone else had any experience with spotting that went from brown to red and then back to brown. Also the red blood had some very tiny clots about the size of pretzel salt. If anyone has any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all for this webpage - reading your text has consoled me some what. I am 6weeks, last Tues noticed a rusty coloured stain when I went to the toilet - naturally thought the worse and called my midwife in tears (hadnt even met her yet!). She booked me in for an emergency scan. Scan showed the sac, gestation of 5.5/6weeks my LMP was 1/12/05. Even thouh I saw the sac I still felt unconvinced as couldnt hear a heartbeat (too small). It is now Sat and I am bleeding heavier - not blood red - dark brown/maroon. I do have period like pains but nothing excrutiating. Last night and this morning I passed what looked like lining (judging from other periods). I do not need to wear a pad/tampon as loss is not that bad. Naturally I have spen last night and all day crying for the fear of having lost our baby. Had a blood test on Fri - got another on Tues (good ol' bank holidays!) then a scan first thing Wed. Am living on tenterhooks but am hoping that all will be ok. What happens when you pass the sac? I wouldnt know what to look out for. Can anyone explain please? God bless.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and on Saturday night me and my partner had sex and I began to bleed very very lightly. The dischage was light pink and brown. On sunday the bleeding continued as I wiped so I called my doctor and he reassured me that the bleeding after intercourse was normal. Monday I went to work and I went to a doctor and she checked my stomach and asked if I had cramps and I said no, so she said not to worry. The bleeding got heavier and I went back to the Dr. 5 pm same day monday and had an ultrasound. My doctor then told me that all she could see was a sack and that at 7 weeks she expected to see more, she told me that I was in the beginning stages of a miscarriage and there was a 1 in 10 chance my baby would live. That night the bleeding became very red and small blood clots began to come out as I urined and I started getting cramps. The bleeding that night was like a regular period. Tuesday moring now, my doctor told me that I am to come in Wed. to have a D & C to make sure the baby has come out completely. They are 1st going to do an Ultrasound to see if the baby has passed on its own out of my body. I can't help but hope for a miracle. I have prayed really hard, Me and my partner really really REALLY want this baby.

I was just wondering if your birth control pills can make you spot a brownish-pink discharge if you missed one pill within a 6 hour timeframe but took pill right away at the original time but usually take them faithfully at the same time every night. I took two pregnancy tests and they both said "NOT PREGNANT" does this mean I still can be? I'm really not ready for a baby. Please get back to me. I'm worried.

I found out I was pregnant New Years day after 2 positive tests. I started bleeding 2 weeks later at 6 weeks light brown at first then red like a period. I went toA&E they did urine test that came back negative said maybe I was miscarrying or just having a period!not helpful at all! a few hours later I did another test at home to see whether I`d been reading them wrong got a positive again so I rang NHS direct they were great got me an appointment 4 a scan the next day.guess what they did a urine test-negative again I couldn`t believe it I think they thought I was making it up. I was losing my baby & they thought I`d got my dates wrong. Anyway they do a blood test which is positive but only just so I may be miscarrying or I`ll be ok I`m not in pain but blood is now thicker I`ve passed one small clot bout 2cm not hopeful anymore. 48hrs later I have another blood test which confirms I`ve had a miscarriage i`m still bleeding & now got tummy ache.i`m hopeful next time will be ok.
