Anita

My internet is back up and running and I have loads of emails etc to catch up on and catching up on all the sites. This week has been hard sitting at the pc in the evening, I've found it really uncomfortable and can't sit for long.

I'm also finding it hard to walk back from Katie's school when I pick her up. Its only 5-10 minutes away from our house, but walking back seems so long and by the time I get to our front door, I really do seem out of breath and tired.

Well England went out on penalties again to Portugal and I really felt so emotional at the end of the game, we were really gutted. Katie and our twins will have both been born in World Cup years, but this time I thought maybe this would be the year that England was to win the World Cup - but it was not to be. At least Sven has gone so there was something good to come out of it. Anyway, thats enough about football.

Katie had a pirate party at school this week and she looked so cute in her pirate outfit - she's growing up so quick its unbelievable. We have been having spats of her talking like a baby, and saying no all the time when we ask her to do something. We have told her that we will ignore her when she talks like a baby because we can't understand baby talk - which seems to be stopping her, but the constant `no' is driving us mad. We have sat down and talked to her about it and explained why we don't like it and why we won't put up with it. We're not sure if its because of the twins or her just getting some independance, so we will see how it goes over the next few weeks. She is really good most of the time, so we really can't complain and she has been a joy. Katie is fiercely independant and is happy to let you know exactly how she feels, and I can't complain too much because she is so like me in that respect.

Katie - Pirate

We are taking Katie to the scan next week and she is really looking forward to it, we have told her that she will see her little brothers / sisters on the screen and that they might wave to her. She has been singing nursery rhymes to them too.

Paul saw the babies move this week, they were only slight movements, no arms and feet sticking out, but he saw my belly moving and he loved it. We couldn't show Katie as she was fast asleep in bed.

I have asked Paul if he wants to know the sex and he is still saying no, he wants it to be a surprise. As for me, I'm secretly hoping I will go in on my own first so I can ask - we'll have to see.

I have had about 3 people this week (2 of them I didn't know) comment on my size and yet again, saying that I am very small - I really wish they wouldn't say it, its really making me paranoid. Paul says they obviously can't see the bump, he feels Im showing really well - but then again he's the one that has seen me with no clothes on I suppose (ugghhhh what an awful thought).

I can't stop talking about the scan, I am soooooo excited, I'm nervous too, but I really don't care I just want to be lying on that bed waiting for my scan.

Today (Thursday) Katie has received her school (nursery) report and its really glowing - she has really mixed well at nursery, and I hope she will do the same at school. She moves up to the school in September, my little baby really is growing up. I almost want to cry when I think of her from her baby days to the big girl she is growing into. Paul was over the moon with her report and we both told Katie how proud we was of her report and what a good girl she was.

Well this evening wasn't a good end to the day, I play darts for a ladies team on a Thursday evening and I am the treasurer for the team. I collected all the subs, match fees, raffle money etc and there was approximately £100 which I placed in my darts folder (as I do each week), and some awful person stole the money. I have a very good idea who it was, and I didn't think quick enough at the time to highlight it and I missed my chance. I felt so guilty that someone had stolen the money, the rest of the team were really good about it and we've given the offending person a chance to return the money with no questions asked - so we will see next Thursday if they hand it back in.

Katie and I spent the day together on Friday as her school was closed due to teacher training. Our aim was to spend time together doing lots of things, but by the time we been into town (to buy a present for Katie's friend whose party she was going to), we didn't get much time. We started to clear the spare bedroom as we are moving Katie into this room (its a bigger room) and we are going to decorate it in Disney princess to Katie's delight.

Paul went out for a drink with the lads on Friday night, and although a little tipsy when he returned home, he was very loving and telling me how much he had missed me, how happy he was with Katie and me and the twins on the way. How much he wanted to be there for us all and for me to hand my notice in at work. We sat talking till the very early hours of the morning about how I felt, I told him I was nervous of handing in my notice. I had worked since I left college, I was going to give up my independence, and although we hope it doesn't happen, I explained that if I was to give up work and Paul was to walk out on me any time in the future, I would have very little or no savings and I would have to start from scratch. Paul said he had no intentions of ever leaving me, and although I know he was being totally honest, I don't believe you can never say never. I know we have a solid relationship, but you never know whats round the corner.

My main concern was money, and I didn't want us to struggle, I had always been able to buy Katie whatever she wanted and I still wanted to be able to do that for all three of our children. Paul agreed and said we could still do this, but we had spoilt Katie and given her all the things we had wanted to. It was a pretty lengthy discussion, but at least Paul now understood how I felt and we still haven't made a firm decision. I think this topic will be ongoing for a number of months.

We're off to pick a new tv this weekend, and then I can start on my decoarting the main room. We've stripped all the walls, so once the tv is sorted we can move on and I can't wait to get the room finished.

Well I only have three more days to go before my scan and I have never wanted the weekend to go so quick.

See you all next week x

Anita
