Over the next few weeks, I was really tired and was feeling really sick all day long. I couldn't stand the smell of food, even the sight of food made me feel ill, even when it was on the TV. I couldn't even read a menu without feeling bad. Each morning, I would wake up with an awful sicky feeling. I wanted to eat breakfast and I knew I had to, but I struggled to eat it. The less I ate the more I felt sick and there was nothing I could do. I didn't mind too much because they say its a sign of a healthy pregnancy. I decided to do my homework on pregancy and what I should and shouldn't eat - this was all new to me as I had missed all this with Katie. I think Paul came out in sympathy, he started to have backache and feeling bad - I thought it was funny, but Paul wasn't that impressed!! Each morning Katie would ask how the babies were and what they were doing. Each week I would look at my development chart and show her pictures of what the baby would look like and how big the baby was. I couldn't wait for the scan, I wanted to see my beautiful baby on the screen and I wanted Katie to see it too. Prior to conceiving, I had been attending Slimming World and had lost 9.5lbs, yet my jeans and other clothing had started to become tight. I was only about 8 weeks, and I said to Paul that I couldn't believe my clothes were tight. It wasn't because I was eating too much, because I couldn't eat. I joked with Paul that it was twins, Paul said I hope not, I'm happy with one - two would be too much hard work. So Katie, Paul's mum and I kept teasing Paul saying it was twins. His mum had told Paul that a few years ago she had been to a fortune teller on Blackpool beach, and she had told her that one of her children would have twins. He was having none of it. Well my ninth week came and I went to see my midwife, she went though all the usual things and booked my scan date - 4th May. Love Anita x In the Womb - view at 8 weeks
